Evolution Aqua concludes the sale of the Bermuda brand to Certikin

Multi-award-winning manufacturer, Evolution Aqua, has announced that they have completed the sale of the Bermuda Watergardens brand to Certikin International Ltd, the UK's leading wet leisure specialist.

Wigan-headquartered Evolution Aqua is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of water filtration products and associated equipment, primarily focused on the aquatics for both indoor and outdoor fish care as well as the environmental sector.

The move comes following 5 years of partnership between Evolution Aqua and Certikin which saw the Bermuda brand return to the UK market and flourish. Through this partnership Evolution Aqua managed the sales and marketing functions of the business while Certikin managed the logistical and accounting elements - now all functions come under the control of Certikin and for the existing Bermuda customers it is business as usual.

Commenting on the transfer, Evolution Aqua’s MD Nick Jackson said: “This last step in our journey with Bermuda concludes the strategy set out when we first acquired the Bermuda brand. Over the past 20 years, Evolution Aqua has been at the forefront of water filtration technology, continuously developing products for our wide range of users, all of whom rely on our products to maintain high water quality.

Our focus at Evolution Aqua is to continue investing in products that we will manufacture here in Wigan; from this, we will grow our core business.

This is an exciting time for us as we will now be able to deploy more resources to focus on the many business opportunities that we have secured recently in high-growth areas including environmental markets which will significantly impact the business growth in the coming months”.
