Topical treatment for Koi Carp

Cleans and disinfects sores, ulcers, fins and tissue in Koi Carp.

Common symptoms

Use when Koi have ulcers or sores that require close treatment. Also use to treat damage caused during spawning or if Koi have any general bangs and scrapes.

Instructions

1. Shake bottle well.


2. Dry the wound for effective treatment. It is advised to sedate larger fish prior to handling with Evolution Aqua Koi Sedative.


3. Using either the pipette or cotton wool balls provided, liberally apply the treatment directly to the wound and surrounding area. Avoid any contact with gills and eyes.


4. Do not dry off the medication. For effective treatment, cover the injury with a Koi wound sealant. Repeat after 3-4 days if the dressing has gone.


5. Check water quality parameters as poor water quality is often a cause of illness.


6. Consider adding Evolution Aqua Acriflavine to control disease causing bacteria levels in the pond.


NOTE: Only for use with Koi. This treatment should not be added to the pond.

Frequently asked questions

Dosing is kinder on fish –

2 step dosing acclimates fish for higher active dose rate. Dose on day 1 and again on day 4. Some parts of illness lifecycles cannot be killed so active ingredients need to be high for a longer period to attack these parts when the vulnerable part comes around. White spot is a great example of this.

You can repeat the dose, or treat the pond with an alternative treatment 7 days after the last dose has finished, following a 20% water change.

Yes, the UV will weaken the strength of the treatment and make it less effective

Yes, always aerate the pond or treatment bath during use.

Only Formaldehyde and Malachite can be used together, wait 7 days after the final dose, and do a 20% water change before re-dosing, or treating with an alternative medication.
