Due to the thick glass used in their construction, EA aquariums are heavy, even when empty.

Ensure that sufficient people are available to carry the aquariums and cabinets safely when they are delivered. The 1800 models will need six to eight people, and are extremely heavy.

Level floor

Every EA aquarium should be placed on a strong (ideally concrete,) level floor. EA cabinets have been extensively weight tested, but uneven floors will cause stress on any cabinet and aquarium and should be avoided. Wonky cabinet doors can often be a sign of an uneven floor, as cabinet doors are adjusted correctly on a level floor at the point of manufacture. Ensure that wooden floors and joists are capable of holding the weight of a filled aquarium, with water, rocks and substrate.

Yes, eaFreshwater was designed specifically with external canister filters in mind. The cabinets are large and spacious inside, with cut-outs at the back to take hoses and power cables. The aquariums have glass cut-outs which enable two hoses and a plug to pass through, and have these at each rear corner.

Yes, although they come with two eaLED lamps, eaFreshwater can accommodate up to four eaLED as standard. If even more, high-powered lighting is required the supplied lid and lighting can be removed completely, enabling the fitting of Kessil or other clamp-on lighting.

eaFreshwater come with standard float glass. eaReefPro and theAquascaper ranges come with low-iron glass.

eaFreshwater has very neat black silicone as standard.

eaFreshwater does not have any background applied to the rear pane of glass, enabling the user to fit their own choice of background paper, vinyl wrap or 3D background module (not supplied.)

Yes, eaFreshwater is totally marine safe. For a marine look we recommend replacing the supplied eaLED Natural Sun with a combination of 1 x eaLED Cool White and 1 x eaLED Sea Blue, or two of each. For corals, remove the supplied lighting and upgrade to Kessil.
