Assistant Engineering Technician

Job Duties:
We have a full time position for an individual to work in our manufacturing department, assisting in research and development and machine maintenance. The main duties of this position will be to work alongside our Technical and Commercial Director; ensuring that Evolution Aqua maintains its distinguished reputation for manufacturing high quality, cutting edge aquatics and pond technology, and developing innovative and ground breaking products. You will be expected to assist with the maintenance of our unique filtration moulding tool by performing troubleshooting, cleaning and repairs when required. This position will also assist with developing specifications, set-up, installation and validations of new equipment and products. You will need to complete equipment master documents, complete corresponding paperwork on new equipment and documentation associated with repairs and preventative maintenance. It may also be required that you assist in the writing of procedures for maintenance and installation to be used by our customers.

Job Requirements:
This position requires a recognised qualification in Engineering, preferably a degree in Engineering or similar qualification. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with product manufacturing, equipment maintenance and/or research and development. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel desired. A good knowledge of relative testing equipment. Mechanical and electronic aptitude is a must as is the ability to work in both office and warehouse environments. You will be given intensive training in order to develop the skills needed to work with our specialised tool. However, it will be expected that you embrace such training and the subsequent development of your skill base, in order to work towards holding a position of responsibility that is integral to the day to day running of the company. You should have the ability to think on your feet, working to deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
